How long will my eye exam take?

Your comprehensive dilated eye exam may take approximately 30-45 minutes. 

 

Will I be able to drive after my exam?

Yes, you will be able to drive after your eye exam. You may experience some blurred near vision due to dilated pupils. Dilation drops will gradually wear off 1-3 hours after examination.

 

Do you make prescription sunglasses?

Yes, we do. We generate prescription lenses for glasses, sunglasses and safety glasses. 

 

What types of surgeries and treatment do you offer?

We offer various surgical and laser treatments for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eyes and more. Call us to find out more about what treatments are available for you.  

 

Am I a suitable candidate for cataract surgery?

You would first have to be examined and diagnosed with cataracts at Ash Eye Institute before determining if you are suitable for surgery. 

 

Do I have to stay overnight after my cataract surgery?

No, you do not. You are permitted to leave after surgery and return to clinic the following day for a follow up exam. 

 

Can I drive after my surgery?

We recommend that you have someone pick you up after surgery and assist you for at least two weeks after surgery.
